hey dear lisbon
our blog seems dead ?
i shall revive it :D
with my power.
since i'm bored . and in the midst of my geog project . i just started . whoo .
so , yeah .
almost 3 whole months have passed since the start of the year .
you know , it really doesn't feel like 3 months to me . it seems so much more ; how i got to know all of you , and how close and bonded we are now . haha the boys , you all can't deny this now lorr , because i really noticed that ever since the class gathering , you all have opened up A LOT , A LOT in CAPS , more and have started talking more and participating more :D
don't you think its so 温馨 ? ((:
i think the class gathering and crazy johan in the sea contributed a lot to the bonding and stuff yeah ? and we saw the very different side of our chairperson ga jing too :DD
don't fret !
we have much , much more opportunities to continue strengthening our bond as a class , like the interclass games and more class gatherings ! :]
i just wanna say ,
cherish the time we have tgth as a class , mmkay ? promise me that ; promise the whole class that , in fact .

How Camels Come about...
Heres an interesting story on how we are separated from our ever so close relatives, the camel.
Once upon a time, theres a group of llamas working in the fields of Egypt. They have to work day and night and slog in the fields at the crack of dawn. Naturally, some are lazy bums. the group of lazies liked to sit around all day and cry, "Hump, hump, hump..."
One day, a magician came by. he saw the group of lazy llamas and the working group of llamas. And decided to turn them into two different kinds of animals to differenciate between the lazies and the workings.
And he gave the lazy llamas humps. Voila! And now the lazy ones are the camels, with humps, and the hardworking ones are the llamas!
So, WE the llamas are HARDWORKING. And I hope that for term 2, everyone will work harder for everything, and live up to our name as the LLAMAS.
Good luck for term2, all llamas!

Elevador de Santa JustaLike the leaning tower of Pisa, when you see this you might think it looks a bit odd. A large viewing platform sits on top of a thin lift shaft and affords magnificent views of the Baixa. If you don’t mind being fleeced there’s a café on top.
Where to stay in Lisbon
Life during the day centres round the Baixa district; with its squares and museums it bustles. After dark it is almost deserted. The Baixa is right in the middle of the city and is the ideal place to stay; all of the main attractions are within walking distance, or within easy reach by metro. To be more in amongst the nightlife, you should head for the Bairro Alto. The area’s many bars and Casas de Fado mean that it is the place to be in the evenings and so is very busy until late.
Where to eat and drink in Lisbon
In Baixa you’re spoilt for choice. Reasonably priced restaurants and bars can be found along Rua dos Correerios, but there are places all over the quarter that can offer reasonably priced food. For something a touch more up market, go down to Doca de Santo Amaro. Alfama is a tourist trap when it comes to food and it can be poor quality and overpriced. To find out what’s going on in Lisbon pick up either ‘Follow me Lisboa’ or ‘Lisboa: Step by Step’ for listings. A large African community have set up stall in Lisbon and for a taste of Cape verde-inspired music head down to Rua de Sao Bento.
How to get around Lisbon
Most the main sites are within a few kilometres of each other so it’s easily walkable. Bus and tram tickets are available from Carris kiosks or from the driver but if you are going to do a lot of travelling get a one-, four- or seven-day passe touristico for all modes of transport which are very reasonably priced. Belem, the only slightly outlaying area where you may want to go, is not served by the metro so you’ll have to get the bus or a train.
The best time to visit Lisbon
As spring springs on Lisbon the city comes to life. The 25th March is the Festa da Primvera and the open-air concerts and plays offer up a buffet of rock, pop and classical music. June’s month-long Festa da Cidade is a celebration of the city itself and features everything from rock concerts to drive-in movies. Enjoy wine and sardines laid on by the locals for the celebration of the city’s patron saint, Santo Antonio on the 12th and 13th of June. September's Avante is a lively festival which attracts large crowds to its music shows, exhibitions andcultural events. For a dash of jingoism, there is a military parade on the 5th October to celebrate Republic Day. Late November to early January is the city’s circus season. There is a marathon at the end of November and a half-marathon on the first of April.

Class cleanliness check
Do you want to hear the good new first or bad news first? Nvm, I start with the bad one
BAD NEWS...=(
The teacher who came in to cheack for class cleanliness said our whiteboard ledge, upper shelf and cupboard sill have dust. And then the teacher's table, were the plugs are, also never clean.
GOOD NEWS!!!=)
The floor is very clean,the books on the shelf and in the cupboards are neatly arranged, and the whiteboard s very clean. SPOTLESS.
Although I think she marked us down for those tat we never clean,...
Thanks to all of you who stayed back to help clean up. Nevermind about that. Next term we will work harder, OK? Then we can catch up with the other classes. Jiayou!

The floor is very clean,the books on the shelf and in the cupboards are neatly arranged, and the whiteboard s very clean. SPOTLESS.

haha this post is regarding class tee
i went to get the price from the shop in tm,
&they said for the design,
shld be around 18-20 dollars.
is that okay for you all?
cos if it is $19,
&if we pay for our SCs{shouyi+tongtong+sheena+bridget+rebecca} and mrs koh,
altogether is $589,
which means everyone pays $23.56.
We can round up to $23.60 to make things easier for Jamie,
extras can go to class fund.
is that too expensive for you?
haha if its okay then we can go ahead once we get ms ling's approval.
i can check with other tshirt printers if im free.
haha more tomorrow.

Class outing
I think can on thursday (wk 10)too. Good idea since no school. Maybe on that day we can reach at 1pm? some of you don't want to go so early, so is this time all right? Any suggestions on too early or too late?
But what are we going to do in the function room? Suggestions are most welcomed.

Lol. Here is another 'story' thingy one of the grps created during LA:
Orientation:
Mr Llama was called to the classroom by Mr Sng. He left the class chairperson to look after the class.
Complication:
The class were perfectly little angels when he left. But the devil side surfaced and they all started giving Ga Jing hell. Especially a specific group of people. Ga Jing was too troubled and so unfortunately, she got a sore throat and cannot shout.
Rising action:
Then, Johan and Louis started fighting. Johan was using a penknife and Louis used a scissors. Suddenly, that was when Mr Llama returned. When he saw the chaos taking place, he froze.
Climax:
Suddenly, Johan's penknife slips from his hand. The penknife flies towards Mr Llama's heart. It pierces through his shirt and through his flesh, killing him immediately.
Falling action:
Mr Llama falls to the floor, eyes open. Ga Jing panics and runs around. Eventually, someone call the ambulance.
Resolution:
He was rushed to the hospital immediately. The doctors operated on him immediately. The doors closed. The operating light went on.
To cut the story short, he was saved. Or so they thought? Well, he was the living dead...

Hi guys and girls, Chinyee here. With the newly-done duty roster. Some of you sad to say are getting your 2nd choice, and poor Jamie is getting her third choice day. Sorry soryy sorry... But I hope you will all still be more motivated in doing your duties after being praised by Ms Lee. DON'T LET SUCCESS GET INTO YOUR HEAD. Continue to keep up the good work and not let the others catch up!!!! This new duty roster will start from term 2 onwards. And hope you do not have any qualms about it! :)

Ga Jing here
Today Ms Lee congratulated us on our last two class cleanliness check was great, and I presume the most recent ones were done on Friday.
And I realised that Friday, we hadn't been doing any cleanliness stuff, right? - directed to those boys that should be responsible. So how on earth did we earn that 'very good'? Weird Isn't it.
I hope that the new duty roster proposed by our dear vice-chair will make all of you satisfied an that since all of you chose your choices of dates yourselves, you will not argue that you have third lang or ca or whatever.

A few Class Matters
Um, this is Chinyee writing. I want to say a few words about the Class cleanliness and the duty roster.
1. Congratulations for maintaining the top position for the class cleanliness. But don't be too overjoyed, cause we got other things to worry about, like how somepeople are not only not doing their duties like they should, but are also 'doing their best' to wreck the class cleanliness. You know who I mean.
2. Some of you say that you got CCA and can't stay back for the duty roster. Okay. So now I am changing the duty roster which should take effect from term 2 onwards. From tomorrow, I will be passing around a checklist or scrap paper asking you to indicate your 1st, 2nd, 3rd choice of day for staying back. But I cannot confirm that you will get your choice. We can't have everyone doing duties on the same day, can we? So some unlucky ones maybe cANnot get their first choice. Haha, I feel like the teacher asking you to fill up a form. But whatever.
3. This is directed to those people who do not do their duties. We tried many ays to get you to do your duties but to no avail. So we are resorting to the fianl straw. If you do not do your duties for no valid reasons whatsoever, you are going to be reported to Mrs Koh by the daily supervisors.
Lastly, let's work harder to maintain our winning streak and not let other classes win us.
